Obituary for Paul Cameron Jr

Paul H. Cameron Jr., 65 of Leavenworth, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Providence Medical Center Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born on May 30, 1957 in Elkton, MD to Paul H. and Betty (Speace) Cameron Sr. He attended Garfield Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Junior High and Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, MI. After graduating from high school be joined the United States Navy for eleven years. He was a legal man and served during the Cold War Era. After assigned to submarine duty for the purpose to process wills and legal documentations he decided to finish up on his Navy career. In civilian life he continued to work in a few law firms in Kansas City.

Paul married Kelly A. Cameron on September 24, 1994 at St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Roeland Park KS.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly, his brothers Ken Cameron Abingdon, MD, Steve Cameron, Centerview, MO, half-brothers Frank Finch, Ave Maria, FL, Sam Finch, Auburn Hills, MI and half-sister Maria Byrwa-Willoughby, Kalamazoo, MI.; along with many nephews, nieces and his beloved Tabby cat, Luke.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Paul H. Cameron Sr., his mother Betty J. Byrwa, his father-in-law Dale M. McKessor, and his brother-in-law Patrick D. McKessor.

Paul loved seafood especially Maryland blue crabs and shrimp. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Baltimore Ravens. He played sports as a youth.

A private gathering of family members will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm with full military honors at the Leavenworth National cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, KS.
